DESCRIPTION:The exhibition 1978/2026/Otwock+ offers a retrospective view of nearly five decades of work by Mirosław Bałka\, one of the most significant figures in European contemporary art. \n\n\n\nEarly figurative works are presented alongside sculptures\, drawings\, and installations from different periods\, in situ works created in Podgorica\, and a selection of video works. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition takes Otwock as its point of departure — a town near Warsaw where Bałka grew up and where he continues to work today\, in his family home\, which later became his studio.  \n\n\n\nOtwock is more than a place of origin: it is where personal memory and family history intersect with the traumatic experiences of Europe’s past.Source: official information MSUCG

DESCRIPTION:Join the Sofia Meetings 2024 by submitting your film for the upcoming event.\n\n\n\nSofia Meetings is looking for 1st\, 2nd\, or 3rd feature film projects\, TV series in development\, Projects based on books\, and Works in Progress!The 24th Sofia Meetings will take place from March 17th to 21st\, 2027\, within the framework of the 31st Sofia International Film Festival (March 11th–21st\, 2027). \n\n\n\nSofia Meetings is an event supported by the EA Bulgarian National Film Center\, and Sofia Municipality. \n\n\n\nIt consists of three distinct modules: \n\n\n\nFeature Films Pitching – presentation of the director’s first\, second\, and third feature fiction film projects\, seeking co-producers\, sales\, and distribution. \n\n\n\nTV Series Pitching – presentation of TV series projects looking for co-producers. \n\n\n\nWorks in Progress – a showcase of films at various stages of post-production\, presented to festival programmers\, sales agents\, distributors\, exhibitors\, and international press. \n\n\n\nSofia Meetings also presents an Industry Programme featuring various events – Industry Talks\, Europa Distribution and Europa Cinemas Workshops\, a VR/Transmedia Hub showcasing immersive interactive experiences\, along with key speakers\, panels\, presentations\, and numerous informal events. \n\n\n\nMore than 500 industry executives – including producers\, distributors\, representatives from film markets\, sales companies\, film funds\, TV buyers\, and other film professionals from around the world\, as well as representatives from key film festivals and directors – come together in Sofia to discover new projects and films. \n\n\n\nFind more information about the requirements and how to submit an application at the link below!
